This a new shape dedicated to larger wave longboard surfing. This boards excels in medium to large surf and it the perfect compliment to the JL Ultimate Noserider when the surf starts to really juice. The HP 9'8 features a pulled in nose for late drops and to facilitate punching it out through the surf on the way out. The narrower pintail shape gives you full control even while warping clean lines down overhead walls. Tested during the Fall/Winter seasons in Cape Hatteras and Maui, this board proved itself to be the confidence weapon of choice when the surf is up. Whether it be hurricane lines, cold front Caribbean power, or big California points, the 9'8 handles the size with ease, confidence and performance. Fin configuration : 7” center, 3” side bites.
